The union of African states rejoined the meeting. After several delegates had left 
the two Working Group in the morning, the mediation of the President of COP Heddegard convinced them to return and to continue to participate in the work. It would have been a blow to the whole process if the African delegates had completely abandoned the summit. Most likely it was that serious efforts to understand the serious intentions not to negotiate on their lives and their environment for centuries, robbed and destroyed by the Western world.
